Guilden Gilbert

I was born and raised in Bermuda and currently reside in Nassau, Bahamas.

I started this wonderful journey of photography as a 14 year old back in 1980 where I first shot and developed black & white film.

Today, while much of my work is in digital, I still shoot and develop film. I enjoy photography just as much today as I did when I first fell in love with the art form.

I take great pleasure these days in passing on all the knowledge I have gained over these nearly 40 years of photography through teaching. Teaching, for me, is such a rewarding experience because I can offer what I never had access to, a very experienced photographer to guide me through my development in this beautiful art form.

Even after all these years I still continue to learn because, in my view, anyone who believes they know it all and have nothing more to learn about photography should put the camera down and walk away because they are doing a disservice to this fine art form.
